\nNow, we will discuss how to make an animation using these data with QGis<\/strong> and its Time Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Once\u00a0daily data is\u00a0saved\u00a0as shape format on\u00a0your\u00a0computer and\u00a0added\u00a0to\u00a0your\u00a0map,\u00a0you\u00a0must apply the desired symbology:

As example, here we are going to animate the wind forecast data. Therefore load the wind symbology stylevent.qml<\/p>\n

In order to\u00a0create\u00a0the animation\u00a0we\u00a0will\u00a0use the QGis Time Manager. We\u00a0will\u00a0follow\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0steps:<\/p>\n

Format of an accurate timeline<\/strong>\u00a0field<\/strong><\/p>\n
In order to create the different time steps of a layer using the Time Manager,\u00a0we must allow it\u00a0to\u00a0distinguish\u00a0the\u00a0records\u00a0that\u00a0concern\u00a0a\u00a0single\u00a0time step.\u00a0It is\u00a0the equivalent\u00a0of\u00a0what\u00a0you\u00a0make\u00a0when using 0\u00a0Layer\u00a0Properties\u00a0->\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0General\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0tab\u00a0-> Subsystem\u00a0(click\u00a0query\u00a0builder)\u00a0in\u00a0the previous article.<\/p>\n
The Time Manager needs a field including date and time, however in the downloaded data, this information is located in two different fields: MeteoDate<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0hour<\/em>.<\/p>\n
Therefore, it is necessary to create a new field and fill it with the contents of the two fields.
\nThis new field\u00a0must\u00a0be\u00a0in\u00a0text\u00a0format,\u00a0provided that the\u00a0text\u00a0string\u00a0respects\u00a0a certain format.<\/p>\n
To\u00a0create\u00a0and\u00a0fill this\u00a0field\u00a0you have to follow these instructions:<\/p>\n

Change\u00a0the\u00a0duration\u00a0of\u00a0each\u00a0image\u00a0to\u00a0500\u00a0milliseconds\u00a0and\u00a0check\u00a0the box\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0display frame start time on map<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for the date and\u00a0time\u00a0of\u00a0each\u00a0time step to\u00a0appear\u00a0down\u00a0and to\u00a0the right\u00a0of the cartographic window.

In\u00a0the\u00a0Time Manager\u00a0window,
\nActivate\u00a0the layer time\u00a0management\u00a0by clicking\u00a0the first button.\u00a0Now\u00a0you\u00a0only\u00a0see\u00a0the first time step.
\nIndicate\u00a0that the time interval between\u00a0each\u00a0frame\u00a0is\u00a03\u00a0hours,\u00a0entering\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0in\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Time frame size<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0hours<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0in\u00a0the field\u00a0next to it.<\/p>\n
Click\u00a0on the Play button to\u00a0see\u00a0run\u00a0the temporal animation.
\nAccording to the result,\u00a0you\u00a0can\u00a0adjust\u00a0the options to\u00a0get\u00a0the desired animation\u00a0.<\/p>\n
How to export the animation<\/strong>\u00a0to a video file<\/strong>\u00a0(<\/strong>\u00a0avi<\/strong>\u00a0)<\/strong><\/p>\n
By clicking the button \u201cExport video\u201d you create a sequence of images that you can use with different softwares such as Windows Live Movie Maker or others, in order to make a video in the desired format.<\/p>\n
