The ArcGIS Pro application lets you gather all the resources you need to complete a project in one place.\u00a0A project contains maps, layouts, server tasks and connections, databases, toolboxes, folders, styles, and so on.\u00a0It can also integrate content from your portal or ArcGIS Online of your organization.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Projects can be created on your local file system and shared online as a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0project package<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0These Online Projects can be downloaded to your local station.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Project templates<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Project Templates help you create a new project.\u00a0For example, a template might include connections to folders, databases, and servers;\u00a0another template can provide complete datasets or just references to external project data …<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Some basic templates are provided with ArcGIS Pro to get you started: at startup ArcGis Pro offers you a Blank project, a Global Scene project (worldwide 3D view), a Local Scene project (local 3D) and a Map project (2D map). ).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
How to manage the elements of a project<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
To manage the elements which constitute your project, you have two windows: the\u00a0Project Board<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0window\u00a0and the\u00a0Project View<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0window.\u00a0As their names indicate, the first is an arcgis pro pane, the second a View.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The templates allow you to define and configure\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0the default items when opening a project.\u00a0Items are maps, layouts, server tasks and connections, databases, toolboxes, folders, styles.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In a model we refer to data, but these are not an integral part of the project, in the sense that they are not copied and contained in the project file (.aprx).\u00a0What is saved in the project file is the address of this data.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In a Project Package (.ppkx) file you find the same elements as in a template, but the data needed to run it is copied and contained in the package file. To create your own project template and add it to default templates when you open ArcGis Pro,\u00a0click the Project Template button, the model definition pane opens.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
