\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe\ndifference from the usual modus operandi is that when\nyou\nclick\nthe command, no new window opens.\nThe tool content opens geoprocessor window, and\nit\nwill\nstay displayed as long as you do\nnot decide otherwise by performing an\noperation\nwith the geoprocessor.  \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of the window, you can find two available\ntabs for the tool : Parameters and Environments ,\nwhich work as usual\n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Once the features are filled in, you can run\nthe\ntool by clicking Run, located at the right bottom of the geoprocessor\nwindow.
\nThe\nresult ( terre_mer ) is added to the current view.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we will create a new \u00ab\u00a0Zone\u00a0\u00bb\nfield that we are going to give information to \u00a0\u00bb land\n\u00a0\u00bb or \u00a0\u00bb sea \u00ab\u00a0. And we will benefit\nby looking how the work is performed on the attribute table in\nArcGis Pro. \n\nAs in ArcMap, you open\nthe attribute table by right clicking on the layer\nin\nthe legend window and selecting \u00ab\u00a0Attribute\ntable\u00a0\u00bb.
\nA\nnew window opens at the centre below the\nView window. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo\ncreate a new\nfield, you will use the first button on\nthe table button bar.
\nWhen\nyou\nclick\non the button, the parameterss for the definition of the new field appear\nin\nthe geoprocessor window. In fact , in ArcGis Pro, all\nthe \u00ab\u00a0flying\u00a0\u00bb windows of ArcMap are now\nbrought\nback to the geoprocessor window .
\nOnce\nthe field is defined , as usually , by clicking\non the field name in the attribute table , you get\nthe\n\u00ab\u00a0Calculate field\u00a0\u00bb option . The features will\n, again, open in the geoprocessor window.\n \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fill all records with\n\u00ab\u00a0earth\u00a0\u00bb and select the polygon\ncorresponding\nto the sea and run the calculation again with \u00a0\u00bb sea \u00a0\u00bb as\nvalue\n. As in ArcMap, the field\ncalculator works only on the recordings\nselected\n, if any. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generate<\/strong>\nDTM for the<\/strong>\nmarine<\/strong>\nsection<\/strong>\n\n\nTo generate the marine DEM ,\nwe will add the\nisobaths\nlayer ( corrected from hydro zero as indicated in\nthe\narticle 3D – Functional surfaces \u2013\nSpecific case<\/a> of the littoral ( earth \u2013<\/a>sea interface )<\/a> )\n  \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn\norder to create the DTM we will use the command Topo to 3D\nAnalyst Raster.
\nIn\nthe geoprocessor window, click Toolboxes and search the command. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the\ngeoprocessor window, click Environments. This will\nlet you define the output extent equal to\nthe extent of the Emprise layer .\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we define the output size, in our\nexample\n75m since it is the cell size of the terrestrial raster . \n\nWe execute the command and obtain the following DEM :\n \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before continuing the creation of the land-sea DEM ,\nwhich we will see in the next article, we will\nstop\nfor a moment to see what we just did but\nthis\n-ci\ntime in 3D. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3D<\/strong> view<\/strong> with the<\/strong> generated<\/strong> DEM<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the Scene tab. If you had not already done\nso, remove the Topographic layer. \n\nYou get an empty\nwindow .
\nIf\nyou load the image Aerial\nin\nthe 3D view you get the following:\n  \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike what you can think\nat first glance , the image is 3D\nand draped on a DTM provided by ArcGis Pro by default.
\nTo\nrealize the previous it is enough to increase the\nhype vertical sight. \n\nClick on \u00ab\u00a0Scene\u00a0\u00bb in\nthe legend bar -> Properties -> Elevation surface and change the value by 10, for\nexample.
\nThen,\nyou will see your image in an exaggerated 3D. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the \u00ab\u00a0sea\u00a0\u00bb section of the image\nappears\nflat at level 0 meter . \n\nLet’s change the MNT by default\nfor the MNT that we have just created.
\nTo\nthat end you will use the ribbon, MAP tab\nbutton Add Preset -> Ground
\nPoint\nin the DTM file we have created in the first part of the\narticle . \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe\ndefault DEM is\nreplaced\nby the new DTM and the view changes immediately :  \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you can see\nthe\nopposite of the previous sight: the relief is limited to the marine section,\n the ground isflat\nat level 0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To manage the different DEMs of a view,\nyou have to use: \u00ab\u00a0Scene\u00a0\u00bb in the caption bar -> Properties ->\nSurface Elevation
\nThen\nby\nclicking\non \u00ab\u00a0Ground\u00a0\u00bb you will get the list of loaded\nDEMs. You have the up and down arrows to\ndecide which DTM is taken in\nconsideration\n. As for the layers display, in the legend window it is\nthe one placed highest on the list which is in use.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
