The model diagram view is similar, and you\nbuild the models by adding data and geoprocessing tools &nbsp; connecting them\nto shape processes. In ArcGIS Pro, you can view, edit, and run models that you have\nbuilt in previous ArcGIS Desktop versions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite these similarities, there are some differences. Knowing these\ndifferences will make your migration to use ModelBuilder in ArcGIS Pro easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Let&rsquo;s discuss some important issues. <br>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compatibility of versions<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, similarly as with any application, let&rsquo;s look at the\ncompatibility aspects between the versions. ArcGis Pro Model Builder should be\nconsidered as the latest version of Model Builder. For the\nmodel result to be loaded in the map window you must define the output layer as\n<strong>Model parameter<\/strong> . In this case, it is automatically added to the map. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>intermediate and managed data<\/strong> options no longer exist.\nAccording to the mode of execution: <br>\n-If you run the model from the model window, all intermediate layers are\npreserved, <br>\n-If you run the model from the geoprocessor window, all intermediate data is\nautomatically erased. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lists and sets<\/strong> no longer exist. You must replace them with\niterators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What to recode<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your models contain the \u00a0\u00bb <strong>Calculate Field<\/strong> \u00a0\u00bb tool ,\nyou should not forget that the VB syntax no longer exists in ArcGis Pro. It is\nnecessary to modify the expressions to convert them in Python.
