Run a model<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model can be run in two ways: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

from the graphical modeller\nwindow, or <\/li>
from the Processing Toolbox<\/em><\/strong> panel . <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nTo run a model from the Graphic Modeller window,\nclick the Launch Template<\/em><\/strong> button : \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo\nrun a model from the Processing Toolbox panel, first save and close the model.\nThen, find the model by accessing Processing |<\/em><\/strong>Toolbox |<\/em><\/strong>Models<\/em><\/strong> , right click on the model to run and select Run<\/em><\/strong>\nin the context menu. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen\nyou use the drop-down arrow, the window displays the loaded layers\ncorresponding to the type defined in the model entry. For Parcels<\/em><\/strong>\nentry we indicated that the vector layer should be a polygons layer. Thus, the window\ndisplays the two polygon-type layers that are currently loaded: the parcels and\nthe land. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Installations<\/em><\/strong> enter type, we have indicated a vector\nlayer point type. The window displays the only layer of this type currently\nloaded. Distance<\/em><\/strong> has the default value of 500m set in the model. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for the output, you can choose between creating a temporary layer or\na definitive layer. In the first case, you leave the field empty. The shape is\ncreated in the temporary directory of the user and will be erased with the rest\nof the content by closing the QGis session. In the second case, you enter a\npath and file name for the resulting layer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Open Output File After Execution<\/em><\/strong> check box loads the\nresulting layer into the map window, if it is checked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Click on RUN<\/em><\/strong> to run the model.
\nThe dialog will switch to the Log<\/em><\/strong> tab, which provides an output\nduring execution. \n\nThe result appears in the following figure: \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edit a template<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
QGis existing models can be modified as needed. Right-clicking on a model\nin the Processing Toolbox pane opens a pop-up menu. Edit Template<\/em><\/strong>\nopens the model in the Graphic Modeller window. The model can also be deleted\nhere by clicking Delete Template<\/em><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a model is opened in the graphical window of the modeller, you have,\nof course, the same possibilities to edit the model’s entries as when it was\ndesigned: by clicking on the pencil icon for a model entry you will open the\nparameter definition dialog and you can make the desired changes; clicking the\n(X) button will remove the model entry. \n\nRegarding the algorithms, the information about\nthe parameters of the algorithm can be displayed by clicking on the +<\/em><\/strong>\nsigns located above and below an algorithm. This is a convenient way to see the\nparameters of the algorithm without having to open each algorithm.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRight-clicking\nan algorithm opens a context menu, as you can see in the following screenshot. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBy\nclicking Remove<\/em><\/strong> you delete the algorithm from the model as long\nas there are no other algorithms that depend on it.
\nIf you try to delete an algorithm in the middle of a workflow, you will see the\nfollowing message: \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The elements located downstream the algorithm must be deleted before\nthis algorithm can be removed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
By clicking on Edit<\/em><\/strong> in the contextual menu of the\nalgorithm, opens the dialogue window of the algorithm. You will be able to make\nyour changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After editing an algorithm, the connections to the other elements of the\nmodel will be updated. The algorithm parameters displayed by clicking the +<\/strong>\nsign above and below the algorithm will also be updated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clicking on Deactivate<\/em><\/strong> (disable) in the algorithm context\nmenu you disable the algorithm and all downstream algorithms that depend on\nthis algorithm. An algorithm can be reactivated at any time by right-clicking\non it and choosing Activate<\/em><\/strong> (activate). On the other hand, if the\ndeactivation of downstream algorithms is done automatically, you will have to\nactivate each algorithm individually.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
