QGIS cloud is a free platform to upload online\nand share your maps with anyone . QGis advantage\nis to have the chance of preparing your own maps using  Qgis and upload them online in\na\nfew clicks . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need\nto create a QGis Cloud account ( free , simple, quick) and install the QGis\ncloud plugin in your  QGis version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

How to install the QGis\ncloud plugin<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In QGis, go to Extension ->\nInstall \/<\/em><\/strong> Manage<\/em><\/strong> extensions<\/em><\/strong> .\n\n\nLook for the QGis Cloud<\/strong>\nplugin and\nclick\nInstall<\/em><\/strong>extension<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only constraint to respect is not\nadding rasters in the project . Therefore, you can\nhave\nas many vector layers as you want, WFS layers and also\nWMS layers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s consider a simple\nexample : a map with bicycle parkings in the city of Brest. By\nclicking\non Cloud settings<\/em><\/strong> ( Extension -> Cloud -> Cloud\nsettings<\/em><\/strong> ) we get the following window :\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Login<\/em><\/strong> and\nfill\nyour\nQGis\nCloud account . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must have\na\ndatabase in the cloud to store the data of your projects\n. The first time you are\nforced\nto\ncreate\none\n. Afterwards you can to\nchoose to create a new\none ( up to five bases are authorized ) or\nto\nuse an existing one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the  Account<\/em><\/strong>\n tab. Click\nthe Create<\/em><\/strong> button to create a\ndatabase. \n\nOnce the base is created or selected\n, you must load the data present\nin\nthe QGis project . If you try\nto publish your map without having\nloaded the data , an error message will appear \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the  Upload Data<\/em><\/strong> tab.\nSelect\nthe layers and click Upload data.<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To publish your map, go to  Map<\/em><\/strong> . You\nhave\ntwo\nbuttons. The first one allows choosing a\nbackground map for your map. The second publishes\nthe map in the cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set the base map, click Add background layer<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can\nsee in the previous screenshot, you have\na\nwide choice of background layers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To finish the publication, just click on the Publish\nMap<\/em><\/strong> button . You will\nget\nthe cloud addresses of your map. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can\nsee you get a classic\nweb address , an address for mobile terminals\nand a WMS address . What else?!!\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can consult the result\nby\nclicking\non the address obtained :\nhttp:\/\/qgiscloud.com\/SigEtTerritoires\/velos <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can include\nin\nyour\nproject\nWFS or WMS connections . On the previous map , for\nexample, you can add the available tracks\ncycling\ntracks in a WFS server for the city of\nBrest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
