Following the previous article ( QGis 2.18 is<\/a> available<\/a> ) here is a comment that completes and clarifies this article <\/p>\n\n\n\n Author : Sant-anna\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n E- mail: delazj@gmail.com<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hello, <\/p>\n\n\n\n Following a closer\nlook at the QGIS\nproject, if I may\na few comments :\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n – All decisions\nand discussions\non the QGIS project are\navailable\non line and\nin particular on its\nmailing lists http:\/\/qgis.org\/en\/site\/getinvolved\/mailinglists.html#qgis-mailinglists<\/a>\nbut I\nunderstand\nthat we\ncannot\nfollow\neverything\n.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n – the integration tool\ndxf \/\ndwg\nis planned for\n2.18 but is not ready\nyet (probably to a 2.18.1\nor\n2.18.2);\nand\nbesides\n,\nexcept\nmistake on\nmy part, it is not\nmentioned\nin the\nchangelog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n – Regarding the doc, the project\nwas to\npublish\na 2.x\nversion after 2.14 and arriving eventually\nto\npublish\nthe\ndoc shortly after the release of version (for 3.x).\nBut\ngiven\nthe weak intensity of\ncontributions currently (\nless\nthan\n5 contributors on the last\nmonths), I do not\neven\nknow\nif\nthe\nfeatures\nof\nthe 2.18 will be integrated\nbefore the\nrelease of the 3.0. The concern is so not\na\ndecision not\nto publish but a flagrant lack\nof\nvolunteers\nto\nwrite\n(\nwhile\nthe\nfunctionalities\naccumulate ).\nThe\ninformation\nto\nbe\nincluded\nin\nthe doc are listed at\nhttps:\/\/github.com\/qgis\/QGIS-Documentation\/issues<\/a>\n.\nI\nwould\nsay \u00a0\u00bb he no more\nthan\n\u00ab\u00a0.\nSo\nif readers\ntake a\n2.18\nin\nthe\nbest\ndeadlines ,\ndo\nnot\nhesitate\nto\ncome\ncontribute ,\nEnglish\nis not\na\nfence insurmountable (\nthe\nteam is there to\nhelp and we are not English-speaking\n)\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n – QGIS 3.0 is not\nreally\nscheduled for\nFebruary\n2017;\nno\nreal\ndate\nyet but the goal\nis an exit\nno later than the\nsummer of 2017. But , to\nmy\nmeaning ,\nthis\nis not\nso\nmuch a problem since\nfrom\nhere there , 2.14 and 2.18 will\nbe maintained . <\/p>\n\n\n\n – A priori, even it already make\ncompatible\nplugins\nfor other plugins to QGIS\n3.x generation, before the release of QGIS 3.0,\nthere\nwill be a portability period\nof\nthe\nextensions.
